Dear Kensington Place Families,
Please join me in welcoming Joanne Hubbard to Kensington Place as our newly appointed Associate Executive Director. Joanne joined Kensington Senior Living in 2012 as the Director of Memory Care at The Kensington White Plains. During her time there, Joanne was successful in developing strong relationships with families and her team members, partnering with both, to deliver high quality and loving care to her 60 residents. Joanne, a Music Therapist, was instrumental in creating a strong life enrichment program that involved a wide range of activities and volunteers. Joanne has a love of training and mentoring, and has provided support to new Directors and Supervisors as new Kensington Senior Living communities have opened.
In December of last year, Joanne was promoted to an Executive Director in Training, and has successfully completed a six-month program covering various aspects of operations in our east coast communities. Joanne will work closely with me in all areas of operations here at Kensington Place.
Prior to joining Kensington Senior Living, Joanne held Director positions in assisted living and nursing homes developing memory care, activity and volunteer programs that became models in the industry. Joanne has also played key roles in the opening and renovation of communities. In addition to her degree in music therapy, Joanne has advanced training in Neurologic Music Therapy. She is an experienced conference and panel presenter, and certified Dementia Training Instructor.
Joanne officially started at Kensington Place on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. We will welcome Joanne with a reception which we will be announcing at a later date. We hope you’ll stop by to say hello.
