Don’t miss this educational presentation on how to better take care of your brain through healthy food. Chef Annie Fenn, MD and Founder of Brain Health Kitchen, will share the benefits of the MIND Diet, which studies have shown can decrease the risk of Alzheimer’s and other dementias. She will also do a live cooking demonstration of recipes from her new cookbook, The Brain Health Kitchen: Preventing Alzheimer’s Through Food, Artisan Books, 2023.

The MIND diet combines the Mediterranean diet and the DASH diet to create a dietary pattern that focuses specifically on brain health. This diet is designed to prevent dementia and loss of brain function as you age. To help you learn how to follow the MIND Diet, Chef Annie will share nutritional tips and recipes from her cookbook, which she describes as “a guide to taking care of your brain.”

Get to know this dietary approach to brain health and learn more about:

  • The 10 brain healthy food groups.
  • The 6 food groups to limit or avoid.
  • How to make simple swaps in your cooking to improve thinking skills and reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

At The Kensington, we promise to love and care for your family as we do our own. And that includes you! We keep up with the latest advances in health and wellness, care, therapies and nutrition, and we give you access to information and resources as we acquire them.

Dr. Annie Fenn is the founder of The Brain Health Kitchen, the only cooking school of its kind focused exclusively on brain health and helping people prevent cognitive decline through food and lifestyle. After twenty years as a board-certified ob-gyn, she traded in her stethoscope for an apron to pursue her passion for the culinary arts. But it was her mother’s diagnosis with dementia that helped Fenn find her path and her new calling, one that enabled her to not only help her mother but also create significant and meaningful impact for others. Fenn lives in Jackson, Wyoming. Find her on Instagram at @brainhealthkitchen.
