March is quickly coming in with a roar but we have plenty of support, fun events and news to keep everyone informed and secure. We have welcomed 7 new residents into our community since the start of the New Year with many new faces and new families joining our home. If you happen to see some of these new faces please stop and introduce yourself and say hello.
The fun and support never seems to stop coming here at Kensington. Please join us for a lively and tasty St. Patrick’s Day celebration filled with music and song while we taste sausage and beer varieties starting at 3 PM. A traditional Irish dinner with German chocolate cake will complete the celebration.
For support, we have our monthly “Transitions Family Support Group” meeting on March 22nd as well as “Family Council” meeting on March 29th. Coming in April, we are introducing new support options for both families and residents living with dementia. On April 5th “Caring for a Partner with Dementia Support Group” will meet 1-2 PM and a new therapeutic program for our residents titled “Big and Loud” will be presented through the Parkinson’s Institute later in the month.
