“Spring is sooner recognized by plants than by men.” -Chinese Proverb
Dear Kensington Place Friends,
Even as we lament our chilly days, all around us, we see green and little buds waiting their turns to brighten the world around them. It is with hope that things become new again in the April-May of the year. Many of our residents have seen it over and over again. Nearly 100 years worth for a few!
We are thankful for our new beginnings like our new Director of Nursing Services, Sandi Comstock, who came in like a happy hurricane and immediately began to set things right. We are excited about our new partnership with Consonus Pharmacy that will greatly benefit residents, families and the team. And we relish the greenery popping up in our specially designed courtyard.
Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement as I step into the role of managing both working directly with families as well as collaborating with physicians, hospitals, and the public. In only 18 months, we have so many success stories, seminars and support groups to benefit those who care for loved ones with dementia, and a great love of our friends in the field. I look forward to meeting those I haven’t met yet and reconnecting with those I know.
If you haven’t yet, please come visit us – check out Chef Tony’s new Spring Menu, drop in for a tour or talk, or join us for our weekly Happy Hour! Give me a call today to schedule your springtime tour.
We love spring, and we love sharing good times with visitors, families, and friends. We hope to see you this season!
