Living in California means we almost always have the sun shining and moderate temperatures but this summer has raised the bar! To counter the higher temps, we have been keeping it cool with lots of tropical drinks, fresh fruit, ice cream and popsicles. We have been taking trips to the coast and picnics in the park. Outdoor and patio games, water color painting and afternoon tea parties have filled our days. We’ve been dining alfresco and our 4th of July celebration included BBQ’s, pies and a patriotic singing happy hour! Singing, dancing, playing with our cats and dogs, watching summer blockbusters at the movie theater and enjoying the delicious fruits and vegetables offered at the local farmer’s market whets our appetite for more fun.
Lazy days of summer have no place here—we like to keep busy and enjoy all of our families and friends who now have more time to visit, to play and to make new memories with us.
Staying hydrated, active and stimulated not only helps us remain strong and independent but provides a great sense of enjoyment. Keeping in touch and sharing experiences with other people enriches and improves our quality of life. So stop by, stay a while and enjoy the long days of summer with us!
